robots in disguise.

next week i'm having an informal, non-manditory meeting about a redstar revamp. i'm interested wrangling the beast back towards my original concept: a production company. i'd to get all of you on the roster in roles you are interested in performing, so there isn't much of a question about who will do what when we broach larger projects. one weeks and camm slamm's would become side projects as we actively read and compile short scripts for real production. aditionally, with a more refined mechanism, we could successfully take on projects like music videos or tree plantings if there was a group consensus. i love you all individually, and having a semi-permanent crew signed on would help prevent ian and i from getting lost at sea when the department of natural resources comes knocking at our door. it strikes me there are benefits (more involvement, less commitment) for everyone that come with systemizing production in this manner. redstar should be more a tool than a club (of the treehouse variety, not the caveman type). this is an outgrowth of organizing this production into departments, except the 'departments' would continue to exist during downtime. of course, crew needs increase when we are in production, but during downtime i want to keep an interested corps of individuals to make decisions about what is next. i guess there should always be a project the magnitude of the current one either in development or on the burner. that being said, everyone has different motivations and interests, and this codification may be repulsive to you. but there is an ocean of mutual respect here, and a democratic manner of project selection is incredibly appealing. i'll set the date based on response.
